Exploring Creation Seminar

Why is creation (as opposed to evolution) so important today and is under such attack?

Because without the reality of Genesis 1:1--

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

there is no redemption, no Revelation 21:1--

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth pass away.

Although I was a Christian from my early teen years, through virtually all of my formal education--four years of high school, undergraduate studies at Duke University and a Ph.D. in solid state physics from American University--I never encountered creation as a plausible explanation for nature. I was working as a research scientist at a government laboratory when I heard a creationist for the first time, and that evening transformed my life.

Since that time I have spent over 30 years studying and teaching on creation. A proper understanding of creation is a solid foundation on which to build. I believe that the Bible cannot be properly understood without a belief in and a knowledge of creation, particularly as laid out in Genesis 1-11.

This seminar concentrates on exploring these first eleven chapters of Genesis and follows the outline given in the creation course I taught at Daystar University, Nairobi, Kenya.

The goal of this seminar is to have the Bible come alive. The topics covered include:

  • Worldviews: explaining and contrasting the creationist and evolutionary worldviews
  • Science: definition; Biblical perspective; models vs. theories
  • The Cosmos
  • The Creation Account
  • The Flood
  • History of Evolution
  • The Age of the Earth
  • Dinosaurs

It is suitable for all adults, high school and junior high students. Click here to obtain more information.
